Length 85 – 107cm   weight 3-6kg – the smallest wallaby

Life span: 6-8 years in the wild, 11-16 years in captivity

Diet: Herbivorous – grasses and plants

Breeding season mid to spring summer

Look out for Alice Springs – born on the park in 2009!

Marsupial – Bennett’s Wallaby – Macropus Rufogriseus

Larger that the Parma Wallaby

Males can stand as tall as 1.5m and weigh up to 20kg

With black paws and nose, and a white stripe on the upper lip, they are also known as the ‘Red-Neck Wallaby’.

The Bennett’s Wallaby is common in Tasmania
