Birds
It’s Birdtastic at Manor House
Flamingo | Ostrich | Emu | Macaw | Guinea Fowl
Twitchers flock to the park to see some of the UK’s smallest native birds - And it’s not surprising, the park is home to several important specimen trees. 2009 saw Europe’s smallest wild bird, the Goldcrest, in the giant yew.
Until now Barbie and Kylie, the emus, have been the biggest bird brains at the park, but 2010 will see the arrival of the world’s largest bird when Five Ostrich arrive in the Spring!
Oh! and don’t forget to visit the Macaws... Dolly and Macauley have been re-introduced to the park into refurbished quarters. They love talking turkey with humans - listen to Dolly calling for Keepers Gemma and Sarah, and complaining about the food!
